I''m asking because I've recently acquired a new salon space. I have worked in a studio environment for the past two years and I absolutely love it. My current studio is a small 10' x 10' room with a sliding glass door for privacy. I have it painted the way I want, decorated to my liking, and get to use what ever products I fancy. It's in a portion of a strip mall with other studios of varying sizes, all with private doors, but common waiting areas and restrooms. The only downside is that you can't fit a whole lot in a 10' x 10' space. It was a great transition for me, but now I'm ready to expand.

So, I'm moving down the hall in a month. My new space is double the size.

Here I sit with a big space, less than a month to transform it, and I'm thinking that I want to make sure that my new salon experience is everything I can make it for my clients. It's been so long since I've been a client, that I'm afraid I've lost touch with what a client really wants when they step foot into my world. I've got an open canvas and I want to use it to it's fullest potential.
